Founded in 1910 by the doyen of historians in Maharashtra, Itihasacharya
Rajwade, the Bharat Itihas Samshodhak Mandal, known, simply as
Mandal, is the premier institute of research in history not only
in Maharashtra but also in India. No scholar, Indian or foreign,
can do research in Maratha History without visiting the Mandal.
I am glad to announce that, Year 2009-10 is centenary year for
Bharat Itihas Samshodhak Mandal, Pune. On this great occasion,
A unique treasure of Historical Documents, Manuscripts, Coins,
Maps, Paintings, Artifacts, Rare historical books, Newspapers
will be Displyed at Bharat Itihas Sanshodhak Mandal, Pune. (Date:
06/11/09 to 08/11/09, Time 09:00 Hrs to 20:00 Hrs)
After 25 years some of the important coins and Seals from Mandal's
Collection will be also displayed during this exibition.
On 08/11/09(Sunday) A very rare gold coin of Shivaji Maharaj
(Hoan) and Silver coin issued in the name of Peshwas (Pantapradhan)
of Pune will be displayed.
